Brisko Metal Resources were honoured and privileged to be shortlisted for the prestigious 2023 Make UK Awards in the category of Business and Growth Strategy! Our commitment to expanding our product offering through our innovative product lines, Nexum and Aluminium Extrusions, earned us this coveted spot alongside the nation’s best and brightest manufacturers. Held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on the 1st of November 2023, the awards event was a fantastic opportunity for the Brisko team, led by MD Lalit Premchandani, to network and celebrate the businesses in the UK who are at the forefront of innovation and excellence in their industry.

Brisko are proud to support St Elizabeth Hospice, based in Ipswich, Suffolk. Improving life for those living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses through palliative care, the hospice's services cost £12.9 million to run every year. 30% of their services are commissioned by the NHS. The other 70% of the hospice's running costs come from fundraising events like the Midnight Walk (which our staff are looking forward to taking part in), the Christmas Day Dip (one we're hoping returns to the calendar in the future) and charitable donations from individuals and businesses. We're moved by stories such as Jake's, who with the help of Zest, a scheme which sees St Elizabeth Hospice work closely with the children's hospices to ensure young adults have a smooth transition into adult care, "gets to do the things he likes doing and has 'Jake time'" as explained by his mum Beckie. We continue to support the hospice in everything they do, through donations and would encourage other businesses and individuals that would like to do the same, to visit their donations page.

Brisko continue to proudly support The International Steel Trade Association (ISTA); founded in London in 1969, by 20 steel trading companies based in the UK, the group came together to support the commercial challenges they each shared. With a membership of 100 companies from across the UK, Europe and the rest of the world, the need to work as a group has never been felt more than during 2020; Covid and the end of the Brexit transition period brought some incredibly difficult challenges. Brisko believe in the ISTA's ability to promote the principle of free trade, for trading businesses, steel consumers and steel producers. Our own mill provides users of steel and members of the ISTA, a choice of supply to meet specific requirements timely and at competitive prices. We look forward to our continued relationship.

Brisko Metal Resources were proud to co-sponsor the International Steel Trade Association (ISTA) lunch for the second year in a row. We were delighted to have Yaso Ratnaike, a member of the Taurani Holdings Limited (THL) executive committee, in attendance, along with representatives from Brisko and ParkerSteel Ltd. The event was a fantastic opportunity to network with other UK-based companies in the Taurani Group and discuss current events in the steel industry.
